North East & Cumbria
Welcome to the STEP North East &
Cumbria Branch
North East and Cumbria Branch of STEP was formed in 1991 and
attracts a large and active membership amongst lawyers and
accountants from a widespread and sometimes remote geographical
area spanning coast to coast in the North of England. The Branch
holds an annual conference each September, engaging speakers of
national note to address an audience of over 100. Each year there
is also a monthly programme of lectures by well known specialists
on topical subjects, again with average attendances of around 80
members, and others.
The Branch now has over two dozen student members and is
developing an internal support structure to assist them in their
diploma or thesis work, and so individual students know they aren't
alone.
Boost to philanthropy as STEP and EAPG join forces

In a boost to the philanthropy advisory sector, two leading philanthropy bodies, STEP and EAPG, have agreed to work together to provide a jointly developed educational series for advisors.
