Gibraltar
Welcome to the STEP Gibraltar Branch
The Gibraltar Branch of STEP was established in November 1996.
Encouraged by Tim Bennett, seven of us involved in Trust and Estate
work met together and founded the Gibraltar Branch, which was
officially launched at the Rock Hotel in Gibraltar on the 18th
November 1996. Tim Bennett and Simon Jennings kindly attended and
gave their time giving presentations on STEP and Trusts generally,
which was well received by a group of approximately 80 persons.
Since then the Gibraltar Branch has grown to approximately forty
one members which although a relatively small number compared to
other branches is substantial for the size of Gibraltar.
STEP, as an association is fully recognised within Gibraltar and
in particular by the Government of Gibraltar. The Chairman of the
Gibraltar Branch of STEP sits on the Gibraltar Finance Centre
Council which comprises the heads of the eight Finance Centre
related associations and is consulted by the Government of
Gibraltar on proposed legislation as well as other Finance Centre
related matters including OECD and other tax initiatives.
Boost to philanthropy as STEP and EAPG join forces

In a boost to the philanthropy advisory sector, two leading philanthropy bodies, STEP and EAPG, have agreed to work together to provide a jointly developed educational series for advisors.
