Mediation Objectives

The objective of the Mediation Group is to develop members' use of mediation trust and estate disputes (and other disputes over family wealth) by:

• advancing and promoting mediation and other forms of non-adversarial conflict management and dispute resolution in the family sector
• supporting the development of specialist knowledge, skills and competencies
• developing members' links with suitably qualified mediators, and other appropriate professionals, within the family conflict sector
• enhancing understanding of the causes of conflict within families, and between families and their advisers and fiduciaries, and the potential impact of that conflict on family wealth, governance and relationships
