The Charity

Room to Read partners with local communities to provide educational opportunities throughout the developing world. Since 2000, Room to Read has constructed 1,129 schools, established 9,220 libraries and published 433 local language children's titles. They also provide long term scholarships for 8,707 girls who would otherwise not receive an education. Their aim is to reach 5 million children by the end of 2010. Thank you to all those of you who donated through the STEP Private Client Awards 2009/10. Your generous contributions went towards funding a new building for the students at Shree Kisan Secondary School in Nepal, providing 889 children with access to a new child-friendly and safe school building.
