Upgrading Your Membership
After passing all student modules (either the Diploma
papers or the Qualified Practitioner essays) and when you have two
years' experience working in the trust and estate field (which can
include working while you have been studying) you are eligible to
apply to upgrade to Full STEP Membership.
Students who have completed the Diploma and haven't yet accrued
two years' experience can apply for Associate Membership, using the
upgrade form below.
How to Upgrade
STEP will invite you to upgrade after you have finished your
modules OR you can complete the membership upgrade form (available
to download below) and return it to the STEP Worldwide office
within six months of completion of your studies.
The Process
Your application will be approved by the Membership Committee
who meet monthly. Successful applicants will receive a letter
confirming their upgrade to Full Membership. This process takes
between four to eight weeks. You will then be sent your TEP
Certificate approximately four weeks after you receive your
admission letter.
When can I use the designation TEP?
Once you have received your upgrade to Full Membership letter
from STEP you can use the designation TEP.
