Lasting Powers of Attorney (LPAs) make it possible to make provision in advance for the possibility of you becoming incapable of managing your own financial and welfare affairs during your lifetime. As of October 2007, LPAs replaced Enduring Powers of Attorney. This leaflet provides a brief explanation of the two different types of LPA and the main points to consider when creating an LPA.
