Senior appointments with effect from January 2012
STEP has grown around the world, increasing
both the services it provides to members and its influencing role
in public policy and now has 17,000 members in over 80 countries.
To support the key aims of the membership, the STEP Board is
building resilience and future organisational potential with the
following senior appointments in the STEP office in London creating
a new executive team who will report to Chief Executive David
Harvey:
- George Hodgson becomes Deputy Chief Executive
- Elaine Crehan becomes Chief Operating Officer Member
Service
- Jim Walkinshaw becomes Chief Operating Officer Finance and
Resources
STEP Chief Executive, David Harvey said, 'These new appointments
will underpin the further growth of STEP's ability to serve today's
and tomorrow's STEP members. STEP's secretariat will continue to
evolve to meet opportunities and challenges. In the increasingly
demanding professional world of our members, these appointments
support our Board and Council who are all volunteers allowing the
Board and Council to focus on the strategic leadership of the
Society'.
