STEP celebrates new student award winners - June 2017

Thursday, 15 June, 2017

STEP has announced 31 new student award winners in its Worldwide Excellence Awards. Launched in June 2016, the Awards run twice a year to celebrate the highest achievement in STEP qualifications globally.

The winners are the top achievers across STEP’s exams for the period 1 July - 31 December 2016.

A number of the students are familiar names to us here at STEP. Adelle Seaton from Scotland and Jo-Anne Stephens from the Cayman Islands scored a hat trick, winning awards this June, as well as in December and June 2016.

Fellow winners Kirsten Anderson, Lindsay Bryce MacKay and Fiona Kathryn Wallace have also won awards previously.

Jo-Anne Stephens and two other students, Meghan Davis and Christopher Jess, each won two awards this round.

‘STEP offers its warmest congratulations to all our graduates but in particular to these winners,’ said Nigel Race, STEP’s Director of Professional Development. ‘It is fantastic to see that we have such a pipeline of talent coming through to strengthen our membership base, and particularly impressive, of course, are those multiple winners who have shown such aptitude.’

The top students came from all over the world, including Arabia, Canada, Hong Kong, the Caribbean and Europe. Many have provided testimonials:

‘The TEP is a highly regarded designation that I knew would have tremendous benefits to me in my professional career. The topics and materials covered in the course are things that I encounter every day.’
Becky Turcotte, The Millar Corporation, Canada

‘The level of detail contained within the extensive course material provides a useful aide memoire, long after study and examination. The continued benefit of the course and its material results in sound advice and reassuring outcomes for the client.’
Christopher Jess TEP, CMG Cunningham Dickey Solicitors, Belfast, Northern Ireland.

‘STEP has a great reputation across the globe and to have a respected qualification from a well-known, credible organisation will, I am sure, help my career.’
Harriet Amy Betteridge, Stevens & Bolton LLP, Guildford, Surrey.

Top scoring students for the period 1 January - 30 June 2017 will be announced in November 2017.
