BSc in Management and Trusts and Estates

The University of Manchester is offering a new part-time degree
programme which will enable STEP members who have completed either
the STEP Diploma for England and Wales (Trusts and Estates) or the
STEP Diploma in International Trust Management to top-up their
qualifications into a BSc honours degree.
Why should I study this qualification?
- If compared to a traditional, full-time, undergraduate
programme, this would be equivalent to direct entry into the third
and final year of a Bachelors degree.
- The programme is taught by staff from the Manchester Business
School and the Law School within the University of Manchester.
- The programme has a significant management content allowing you
to expand your knowledge.
- The programme will give you the transferable skills, backed by
qualification, to progress into senior management roles.
What are the entry requirements?
You must have studied either the STEP Diploma for England and
Wales (Trusts and Estates) or the STEP Diploma in International
Trust Management, which are both delivered in association with
Manchester Business School, and have three years work experience to
meet the entry requirements of the programme.
The driving force behind this initiative is the development of a
programme which can offer STEP Diploma graduates the opportunity to
top-up their professional qualifications into a degree from a
respected university.
What does the programme cover?
The course content incorporates:
• Marketing Management
• Strategic Management
• People Management and Organisations
• Management Information Systems
• Accounting
• Finance
• Tax and Estate Planning
How is the programme taught?
The programme is taught via blended learning – a combination of
self study, e-learning and face to face workshops.
Workshops and examinations will be held in Study Centres in the
following locations:
Guernsey
Jersey
London
Isle of Man
(subject to numbers)
Course Commencement
The next intake of the programme is due to commence in September
2012.
Applications are now open and will close on 30th June 2012.
