IMPORTANT CHANGES from
April 2012
(If you are submitting a paper by
30th April 2012 nothing has changed for this submission.)
Changes to Submission Dates for QP Papers
In order to
provide students with more flexibility submitting their papers we
are introducing a second submission date. There will
now be a July Submission
and an October Submission. The topic
questions will be the same for both submissions.
Changes to the Word Count Limit for QP Papers
From
the October Submission 2012 the expectations on word count
will be revised. The expectation will be that, in order
to produce work of sufficient depth and quality, the essay word
count should be approximately 5000 words.
Changes to Fees from 1 April
2012
The Paper registration fee has increased to
£210.00 per paper.
The Paper re-mark fee has increased to £85.00 per paper.
Course Structure and
Assessment
- QP Students research, prepare and submit three papers
of approximately 5000 words in length on a subject
selected from those published on the STEP website. The
purpose of these papers is to demonstrate a level of knowledge
acceptable to the Society.
- A panel of adjudicators assesses each paper. Results are
issued directly by STEP.
- All three papers must be passed within four years of becoming a
Student Member of the Society. Upon successful completion of
this course of study, candidates are eligible to apply for Full
Membership of STEP, which includes the right to use the TEP
designation.
