STEP Foundation and Advanced Courses in International Trust Management - Mauritius

Delivered in association with Manchester Business School, this programme is a collaboration between STEP, the International Trust Companies Association (ITCA) and Central Law Training (CLT).

Why should I study this programme?

MQA Approved Courses

For the purposes of the Mauritius Qualification Authority (MQA), the five courses listed below have been approved as non-award courses. On completion of study individuals can attempt the associated exams leading to the STEP Foundation Certificate in International Trust Management (Course 1) & the STEP Diploma in International Trust Management (Courses 2 to 5). Upon successful completion of the relevant examination(s), you will receive the relevant award by STEP and, with 2 years of experience, can become a full STEP member and use the professional designation TEP.

What are the entry requirements?

There are no formal educational entry requirements for the Foundation Course. However, applicants should be aware that all programmes and materials are in English. Admission to the Advanced Courses (courses 2-5) is normally dependent on having achieved the Foundation Course (course 1).

When you choose to study these courses, you become a student member of STEP. Upon completion of the relevant examinations you can upgrade to full membership status if you have two years' relevant experience, or associate membership status if you have less than two years' experience. If you decide to only study the Foundation Course, you can become an affiliate of STEP on completion of the examination.

  • Course 4: STEP Advanced Course in Trust Administration and Accounts
  • Course 5: STEP Advanced Course in Trustee Investment and Financial Appraisal
