STEP Diploma for Accountants and Tax Practitioners (Trusts and Estates)
Focussing on the legal principles and practices for the
administration of trust and estates
This qualification is a collaboration between STEP Central Law
Training (CLT) and is for accountants and tax practitioners in
England & Wales.
Why should I study this qualification?

and so focuses on the legal principles and practices underlying the
administration of trusts and estates, giving you a broad legal
understanding of the trust vehicle.
- The programme is intensive in nature and will be completed
within four months, providing an accelerated route to membership of
STEP.
- On completion of the Diploma you can become a full STEP member and use the professional
designation TEP, demonstrating your expertise to both clients and
employers

What are the entry requirements?
The programme is for qualified accountants and tax practitioners
in England and Wales who are keen to supplement their existing
knowledge and qualifications with a specialist private client
Diploma.
Those not currently TEPs or STEP students can apply for full
STEP membership on successful completion of the Diploma.

The programme focuses on the legal principles and practices
underlying the administration of trusts and estates. The
qualification is delivered through an integrated tuition system,
comprising a distance learning component with bespoke course
materials and online support, culminating in a five day
workshop.
