The annual Spring Conference is one of the highlights of the STEP year and is packed with quality content. This conference will provide you with essential guidance on the current and future developments in tax, trusts and estates, including the Autumn Budget 2017.
This year there is an excellent panel of speakers including Denzil Lush, who will be reflecting on his time at the Court of Protection and considering current issues of mental capacity. The landmark Supreme Court decision in Illot v Mitson will be analysed and Lesley King will look at the need for varying and modifying trusts, taking account of the glut of recent cases. Tax will needless to say rear its ugly head with the usual Budget and Finance Bill update, the impact of the residence nil rate band both on will drafting and on estate administration and the attractions (or otherwise) of the family company in the light of the recent changes.
