General Description:
The Corporate Business Development Manager (Asia) position is a newly created position and will be a member of the global business development team, based out of Shanghai, Hong Kong or Singapore and will be responsible for building market awareness of the Liberian Corporate Registry and other products and services of the Liberian Registry (YCF Group) in the Greater-China region. This role will require the candidate to act as a brand-ambassador for the organisation for Corporate.  S/he is also responsible for leading and executing a variety of planning initiatives, and assisting and cohosting seminars and business meetings throughout the Greater China region in collaboration with the existing marketing team and infrastructure.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

BUSINESS DEVELOPMENT/STRATEGY

  • Develop and implement comprehensive short-term, medium-term and long-term action plans for developing brand and service awareness for the Corporate Registry in Greater China.
  • Support the Sales & Marketing of all Group Brands.
  • Establish relationships with corporate clients and generate new demand for products and services.
  • Attend meetings with banks and financers to assist the regional managers and marketing team.
  • Prepare and carry-out marketing campaigns for the Corporate Registry.
  • Participate in relevant professional organisations in order to enhance job knowledge.
  • Network strategically by participating in major industry events, attending regional area meetings and contributing to industry publications and forums, acting as a brand ambassador and increasing the organisations presence in the market.
  • Provide support to business in the LISCR Regional Offices and Regional Managers and business development team (such as monitoring market and competitor activity and providing feedback; and prepare or review proposals/executive summaries).
  • Keep up to date with industry publications and developments.


General Qualification Guidelines:

EXPERIENCE AND EDUCATION

  • Offshore Corporation, tax and tax planning experience and/or Maritime industry experience desired (particularly in corporate law, tax and/or maritime law).
  • Bachelor’s Degree required / higher degree preferred in law, management, business strategy, or related discipline.
  • Working knowledge of a common law corporate jurisdiction with experience in working in the ship finance or the offshore/tax haven/international tax planning environment.


KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES

  • Ability to work efficiently and independently of supervision in high pace environment, prioritise work and meet deadlines
  • Several years of relevant experience in providing corporate secretarial services, international tax planning and/or trust management.
  • Well-developed interpersonal and communication skills
  • Integrity, positive attitude, mission-driven, and self-directed
  • Problem-solving and analytical skills
  • Proficient knowledge of Microsoft Office application and use of general office equipment
  • Fluency in Mandarin and English (written and spoken).
