STEP Lakes and Lancaster
We are a relatively new branch and cover a large geographical area including Lancaster and the Lake District.
We are a relatively new branch and cover a large geographical area including Lancaster and the Lake District.
We usually meet in Kendal or Penrith about six times per year ( a gap in the summer and winter months) although we would like to increase this if we attract more members. We aim to attract excellent speakers to give our members access to up to date and practical guidance without having to travel to big cities. The cost is also considerably less for our members and as our meetings are usually half a day on a Thursday afternoon this allows people the flexibility to fit in around other things.
We try and tailor our courses to include hot topics and issues that are particularly relevant to the clients we serve. Our forthcoming programme includes an update from Gill Steele, “Asset protection Trusts and Care Home Concerns” by Caroline Bielanksa, and “Sex Gender & Inheritance Digital Estates” by Julia Abery & Richard Roberts. We also run joint courses with Cumbria C.I.O.T and this year have booked Emma Chamberlain who is coming to speak to us all in June.
We would like to give our members the opportunity to network with fellow professionals in the area, and if there is an appetite for it run social events, but again this is dependent upon membership.
