USA Board of Directors
STEP USA consists of nine branches (Chicago, Los Angeles, Miami, Mid-Atlantic, New York, Orange County, San Francisco, Seattle, and Texas) and eight chapters (Boston, Gold Coast Florida, San Diego, Silicon Valley, Southwest Florida, St. Louis, and Wyoming). Each branch/chapter has a Board of Directors that includes a Chair, Vice-Chair, Secretary, Treasurer. Membership Officer, Programming Officer, and, optional roles such as Communications Officer and Sponsorship Officer. The Board for each branch/chapter is elected by its members through a general meeting/election each year. Officer term limits range from one to three years.
The regional board of STEP USA consists of officers elected to each role of Chair, Vice-Chair, Secretary, and Treasurer, along with elected Directors-at-Large. The term limit for an elected position is three years. Each Branch/Chapter Chair also serves on the STEP USA Board.The STEP USA Board is responsible for setting regional strategy, monitoring all the branch/chapter activities in the region (including educational programs), budgeting, and overseeing membership growth.
