Speaker bio

Madeleine Schubert holds BProc (Cum Laude) HdipTax, and Mcom degrees and is a qualified and admitted tax attorney of the High Court of South Africa and a Chartered Tax Advisor (CTA(SA)).  
 
She is a member of the Law Society of South Africa, STEP, FISA, SAIT, and the German-South Africa Lawyers Association. Madeleine has been part of the Global STEP Philanthropy Committee for the last 4 years.
 
Madeleine commenced her professional career with Deloitte, followed by long-term employment with KPMG and Ernest & Young.  After 14 years at the audit firms, she joined Shepstone & Attorneys as Head of Tax for several years. She then joined the financial industry services with Citadel Fiduciary Services as their strategic director. This was followed by a joint managing director position with sentinel international services for five years before she commenced her international and domestic tax and fiduciary practice via Boshoff Attorneys.  Madeleine has also been a part-time lecturer for CA (SA) students for over 20 years. Madeleine is also a qualified transformation coach.
 
Madeleine has worked in all areas of tax law and industries and has developed a keen interest in international tax and cross-border tax issues and advanced estate planning models for high-net-worth families and their SA and international group structures.  Her specialty is tax advice and re-organisation of local and international structures for High Net worth Individuals and their families.
