Speaker:

  • Nicky Xenofontos TEP, Advocate, Managing Director, N. Xenofontos LLC

Moderator:

  • Evi Papacleovoulou TEP, Advocate at Law, Law Chambers Nicos Papacleovoulou LLC

Description:

Beneficiaries are entitled to a certain amount of information about the trust of which they are a beneficiary and trustees have a duty to disclose that information to them. However, trustees can sometimes be reluctant to disclose certain information about a trust or beneficiaries are unclear about what they are entitled to see.

Considering the provisions of the Cypriot legal framework, that of other common law jurisdictions and case law, this webinar aims to provide an analysis and guidance on the disclosure of information about trust from the perspectives of both a beneficiary seeking information and a trustee with concerns about what he should or should not disclose.
In the last section, we will analyse the role of a trustee and considerations, potential risks, duties, liabilities and potential risks which a trustee has and how a trustee can mitigate and limit liability.

Please contact Nicky Xenofontos to register.
