6:15-7:15pm - Clipperton and Dunsby Webinar

The recent First-tier Tribunal cases of Clipperton and Dunsby consider the same technical points regarding distributions and the settlements code. Although the decisions concern essentially the same tax planning, the conclusions reached by the Tribunals were diametrically opposed.

Moderator:

  • Kevin Custis TEP, Chair, London Central Branch

I have been in the field of Trusts, Estates and Charities for over 30 years as an accountant, lawyer, then director of city trust companies. I have been a proud member of STEP from almost the very beginning. I am now a independent professional Trustee, Executor, and expert witness.

Speaker:

  • Helen Coward, Partner, Charles Russell Speechlys

Helen is a corporate tax partner with particular experience in real estate taxation, the taxation of investment fund managers and the corporate aspects of tax structuring for ultra high net worth individuals. She also advises on company purchases and sales, corporate reorganisations and indirect tax issues.
