Joanne Radcliff will be discussing the family law issues that private client practitioners need to be aware of, including:-

  • Cohabitation agreements
  • The myth of ‘common law husband and wife’
  • Pre-nuptial agreements and their interplay with the preparation of wills/estate planning
  • The treatment of trusts, family investment companies and family businesses on divorce

Jo is a Partner in Brabners LLP and leads the Family Team in Manchester, having practised solely in family law for the last 15 years. She is a trained collaborative law practitioner and provides clients with alternative methods to traditional litigation in order to resolve family disputes quickly and amicably.

Jo has a strong background in contentious disputes, as well as non-contentious work, handling multi-jurisdictional cases, as well those involving inherited wealth and complex high-value financial settlements.

Jo is the Manchester regional chair of Resolution and works closely with a number of charities in the North West concerned with issues of equality and social mobility.
