As the world becomes more connected, cyber threats are growing in number and complexity. Cyber-attacks against organisations are becoming more frequent, more sophisticated, and more widespread. These cyber-attacks highlight the urgency for organisations to contend with ever increasing risks to customer protection, continuity, fiduciary responsibility and operations.
On March 15, 2022 the Bermuda Monetary Authority Operational Cyber Risk Management Code came into force for corporate service providers, trust companies, money service businesses, investment businesses and fund administration providers. These Relevant Licensed Entities are required to become compliant by February 15, 2023.
Brett Henshilwood, Partner at Deloitte Bermuda, will be discussing the requirements of the Code as it relates to Bermuda based trust and corporate service providers. Brett has over 20 years of risk management and internal controls audit experience within the financial services industry, gained in New Zealand, UK, and Bermuda. Brett leads Deloitte’s operational risk services across the Caribbean and Bermuda region. He has extensive experience in co-sourced internal audit engagements, technology assurance, cyber risk and risk management projects.
