Description

Event Focus:

This briefing will look at the general approach adopted in many offshore jurisdictions in response to the EU Code of Conduct review of harmful tax regimes. The presenters will review the background to the EU initiative and the detailed implementation from the perspective of one jurisdiction and will then look at some of the nuances of how the commitments given to the EU have been dealt with differently in a number of other jurisdictions.

The speakers will then turn to the UK’s response to the artificial shifting of profits abroad and the measures that the UK has brought in to combat that. This will include a look at Diverted Profits Tax, Profit Fragmentation and other measures.

There will then be a look at how to respond to these initiatives. What does it mean for clients? What does it mean for fiduciaries? How will advisors react? What will be the advice given by advisors in this new environment? What might we expect next?

Finally, there will be an opportunity to ask questions.

Why Attend?

A look at what the new requirements mean for your clients and how to plan for them; Advisors and fiduciaries who have clients with an interest in overseas companies will learn what they need to do differently in terms of the management of these overseas companies. They will also obtain insight in to how to plan for these new requirements.
