Event Focus
Following an exciting year for developments in trusts law internationally, STEP’s Contentious Trusts and Estates Special Interest Group will focus on developments in the law of trusts, and in particular upon areas which have concerned trustees and their advisors in the last year.
Speakers will reference recent judgments and their implications for each. Sessions will cover:
- Disclosure and data protection in litigation cases; charting this particularly difficult area and navigating the minefield and potentially terrifying data privacy rights
- The duties of trustees to supervise companies, including where the trust instrument contains a ‘non-supervision’ (or anti-Bartlett) provision
- The setting aside of decisions for mistake
- A global update on cases, statutes and trends from around the jurisdictions.
Why attend?
Expert speakers, in depth focus and something for everyone.
Note
This conference is an adaptation of the SIG's Spotlight Session which took place on 22 November 2019 in London. This event is being held in three locations of choice in the UK
