Practical uses for private placement life insurance. 26 May 2022
Private Placement Life Insurance, or PPLI, has many uses in cross-border estate planning and financial planning. PPLI can help to resolve challenging cross-border tax problems, such as PFICs, foreign trusts, and non-US persons who hold US real property. Additionally, it can be a valuable tool to consider in pre-immigration planning. In this presentation, Grayson will discuss how to identify clients who might benefit from PPLI and how to collaborate with other advisors on PPLI planning.
Grayson Dufrene, founder of Vie International Financial Services, advises high/ultra high net worth individuals and their professional advisors on cross border estate planning issues. He has extensive experience in brokering international private placement life insurance/annuities and the use of traditional life insurance for estate planning. Other areas of planning include pre immigration planning to the US and solving UNI problems for non grantor foreign trusts.
