This Lunch and Learn seminar will be held in the evening as Hall & Willcox have kindly offered to host the seminar. The evening will include networking and refreshments post-seminar.

Topic: Succession of an SMSF

There are several traps when preparing a succession plan involving an SMSF. It is important to understand the rules for succession and control of SMSFs and to set in place strategies to ensure your clients assets are passed to their intended beneficiaries in the most effective way. This includes strategies for blended families and withdrawal of superannuation in the event a client suffers from a terminal illness. We’ll look at current legislation, leading case law and some case studies to demonstrate how interests in an SMSF can be dealt with as part of a comprehensive estate plan.
