Lesley King is a well-known conference speaker, university lecturer and author. She is co-author of A Modern Approach to Wills, Administration and Estate Planning (with Precedents), A Modern Approach to Lifetime Tax Planning for Private Clients (with Precedents) (both Jordan Publishing), Wills, Taxation and Administration: A Practical Guide, and editor of The Probate Practitioner’s Handbook. She also writes the probate and wills column for the Law Society Gazette.
Prof. King will be discussing CGT and personal representatives, simple and complex estates, accelerated payment rules, CGT and appropriation, CGT and will trusts, identifying estate income, SDLT and supplemental SDLT in estates, first time buyers’ relief, IHT issues including the impact of lifetime gifts, reservation of benefit and exceptions, the relationship between IHT and CGT value, valuation issues, loss on sale relief and deeds of variation.
