United States - End of year tax planning 2022. 21 September 2022
The talk
It is that time of year again: the time to start thinking about whether there are any US tax planning measures U.S. taxpayers need to take before the end of the year. The US tax year ends on December 31 and, whether the related tax affairs are straightforward or relatively complex, there may be things U.S. individuals and families as well as foreign families with US nexus can do before then to take advantage of rates and allowances that are applicable in 2022 or to prepare for better tax outcomes in 2023 and beyond.
During this session, we will be joined by US tax experts from the accounting and legal professions. They will explore the opportunities for optimising the US income tax and estate tax positions before the year end. They will consider the impact of the recent ‘Inflation Reduction Act’ and whether there are any changes coming that you need to be aware of.
