Web Events - Terms and Conditions Asia

This notice explains the Terms and Conditions for the STEP Asia Virtual Conference 2021 ('Web Event).

Usage and access

The purchase of a STEP Web Event attendance is for use by the purchaser/registrant only and registration information should not be forwarded on to third parties. Similarly, do not share your registration details for multiple admittance to a Web Event; doing so may hinder your own access, as entry is by prior registration only. Similarly, the materials and replay of STEP Web Events are for use by the purchaser/registrant only and should not be forwarded on to third parties.

Registration fee

When a registration fee is charged, VAT (charged at 20 per cent will be additional to the denoted Web Event fees. The Web Event registration fee includes participation in the sessions, any documentation material and access to replay links for 30 days after the event. All bookings are considered binding on completion of the registration form.

Payment

Please note we can only accept credit/debit cards as methods of payment for Web Events. Payment must be made by credit/debit card at time of booking.

Substitution/cancellation

It is regretted that refunds of purchased Web Events are not permissible, nor transferable to another participant/registrant name or session/event. All bookings are considered binding once the online registration form is submitted and booking completed. Web Events with a fee attached to them clearly denote what is comprised in this fee on the respective event’s 'Fees' page.

It is intended for an archive of Web Events to be made available through STEP's website and remain accessible for a period of time, however it may be necessary or deemed appropriate for certain events to be de-listed, for which STEP reserves the right to do so.

In the event of there being insufficient numbers booked onto a Web Event, STEP reserves the right to cancel or postpone the event.

In the event that STEP postpones the Web Event, any payment the Delegate has made as at the date of postponement will be credited towards the rescheduled date. If the Delegate is unable to attend the rescheduled Web Event, or if STEP cancels the Web Event indefinitely, the Delegate shall be entitled to receive 100 per cent refund of all sums paid to STEP. In the event of cancellation, STEP will endeavour to inform all delegates a week before the event is due to take place, although please be aware that this is not always possible. All event fees paid will be reimbursed in full, or the payment will be transferred in full to another Web Event within the same Web Event series and the same calendar year. STEP shall not accept liability for any consequential loss and shall have no liability to reimburse any other costs that may have been incurred. It is recommended that you seek adequate insurance for such eventualities.
