Yacht and aircraft ownership: the need for increased governance. 24 January 2021
Whilst luxury assets are a store of value, they are also owned to be enjoyed and their use is often key to a client's down time. Ensuring that those who maintain and operate these complex assets receive the right advice is key to them being freely available for this purpose. Nic Arnold and Richard Simm will provide an overview of the tax and governance issues for high value luxury assets, bearing this in mind. Whilst luxury assets can also encompass: cars, art, antiques, wine, equine and jewellery, in this session they will focus primarily on yachts and aircraft, covering some key principles, war stories, recent trends and areas to be aware of in this complex and highly contextual area of private wealth.
