60-second interview with Keith Dudley

Keith Dudley, 3/5/2017

Keith Dudley TEP is a consultant at Mills & Reeve LLP in Birmingham.

How and why did you get involved with STEP?

I was involved from the very beginning in 1991, attending the initial meeting of the Birmingham Branch held in the same month as the initial meeting of the Society.

What benefits has it brought you personally, or in your business?

STEP membership has enabled me to improve my profile, increase my contacts, enhance my knowledge and develop my business.

You were recently given a Founder’s Award. What does this mean to you?

It’s a great honour to receive this after being involved with the Society for so long, but it’s also a tribute to those who have helped and supported me during this time.

What is the most important thing STEP does, in your opinion?

Support and develop careers of members, providing with them with the facilities and opportunities to do this.

What would you say to other members who are thinking of getting more involved with STEP?

Do it! It’s a great opportunity, and will open new doors and develop your career.

What do you feel are the main challenges facing your branch or region at the moment?

Increasing regulation and ever more complicated legislation.

How are you planning to deal with them?

Accept the fact that we have to, and put in place and develop procedures accordingly.

Which social media channels do you use and why?

I’m only subscribed to Linked In.
