Summary:

The establishment of charitable trusts is a high-profile topic in Jersey at present, with the implementation of the next phase of the Charities (Jersey) Law 2014. However, while there can be many benefits of charitable donations, one often-observed concern is that when establishing wholly charitable entities the settlor and their family cannot ever benefit.
