David is a partner at Schellenberg Wittmer, advising private clients, trustees, banks, and family offices on Swiss and international wealth planning, matrimonial law and succession, trusts, private trust companies and other succession vehicles. His additional areas of expertise include anti-money laundering and art law.

David is admitted to the Geneva Bar and the New York Bar. He served as chairman of STEP Geneva, on the committee of the International Client SIG as well as of the Contentious Trusts & Estates SIG.

David is the founder of the leading website on trusts in Switzerland –, was co-editor of STEP's Trust Quarterly Review and is the Swiss contributor to Glasson’s International Trust Laws. He is frequently quoted in the specialized press and lectures extensively. He regularly speaks on such topics as trust disputes, international estates, relocating to Switzerland, Swiss taxation of trusts and AML regulations.
