Biography:

Kimberley Martin is a Director at Worrall Moss Martin Lawyers, with a full time practice in estate planning.   Kimberley has strong expertise in all aspects of estate planning, including Wills, powers of attorney, guardianship, trust law and superannuation law.   She is also experienced in the area of charity law and charitable trust law.   

Kimberley obtained her Bachelor of Arts and Bachelor of Laws with Honours from the University of Tasmania, completing part of her studies at the University of Lucerne in Switzerland.

Kimberley joined Worrall Lawyers as a Graduate Clerk whilst completing her practical training at the Tasmania Legal Practice Course in early 2012.  She began her career as a lawyer in August 2012.   In recognition of her professional achievements, she was appointed as an Associate in July 2014, and as a Senior Associate in October 2015. In 2018 Kimberley became a Director. On July 2018, Worrall Lawyers ceased practicing and a new firm, Worrall Moss Martin Lawyers commenced practice.

Kimberley graduated with her LLM (Masters of Applied Law) in Wills & Estates through the College of Law in October 2017 and won the prize for Best Graduating Student.  Her studies have given Kimberley a greater depth of understanding about complex aspects of Estate Planning and different laws that apply in each Australian jurisdiction.   It has also resulted in her undertaking work for both personal clients and professional clients (on an agency basis) in Victoria and New South Wales.   

Kimberley is a Director and Chair of the Board of Montagu Community Living, a not-for-profit organisation that provides quality services and support to children, young people and adults with disability.   Established in 1990, Montagu Community Living exists to provide quality services so that people can live a valued and meaningful life, and remain connected to their communities. 

Kimberley’s notable professional achievements include:

- Finalist in the Tasmanian Telstra Business Women's Awards for the Corporate and Private Award and Young Business Woman of the Year Award, 2016

- Deputy Chair of the Board of the Glenorchy Community Fund, 2015 - 2017

- Co-author and presenter at the Tax Institute’s Disability Awareness: A Different Perspective for Professional Advisers Seminar, May 2015

- Southern Cross Young Achiever Awards Finalist for the Heather and Chris Chong Community Service Award, 2015

- Featured in a large article published in a local newspapers about the developing issue of how to plan for the control and administration of a person’s “digital estate” after their death.

- Author of a large article published in the Leo Cussen Centre for Law: Wills and Probate Bulletin
