STEP Advanced Certificate in Will Preparation - England and Wales

The will preparation qualification enables will draftsmen to provide an excellent service to their clients, whatever their circumstances.

All STEP courses are open for enrolment with delivery adjusted to ensure continuity of access to learning during the COVID 19 crisis. How is it delivered?

The Advanced Certificate is delivered through a blend of distance-learning and three face-to-face workshops. The highly effective workshops focus on key topics from the course modules, an interactive session on client-handling skills and preparation for the examination.

The course is assessed via a three hour closed book exam and two online assessments.

How long will it take to complete

The Advanced Certificate takes six months to complete from enrolling to sitting the examination.

How much will it cost?

The course fee for this Advanced Certificate is £1,395 + UK VAT. (STEP members £1,245 + UK VAT). This fee includes:

  • Three full day workshops

  • Access to an online learning platform including:

    • an e-learning module on client engagement skills

    • an online, video self-assessment on client engagement skills

    • an online will-drafting exercise

  • Distance-learning support
