The relevance of income tax treaties to private clients is a truly international subject not sufficiently explored, and one which is extremely timely;
Global mobility of individuals raises a number of treaty issues, such as entitlement of lump sum taxpayers to treaty protection. Furthermore, the entering into effect of the Multilateral Instrument (MLI) will bring changes to so many treaties, including for instance specific anti-abuse provisions.
This session will address the above as well as other areas of relevance of income tax treaties to private clients.
- MODERATOR: Nicola Saccardo TEP, Partner, Maisto e Associati and Deputy Chair, STEP International Client SIG – Italy/United Kingdom
- Arnaud Cywie, Partner, Borel & Barbey – Switzerland
